Products with Pro-apoptotic bioactivity

Cat.No. Product Name
BCN5681 Tryptophol
Tryptophol is an aromatic alcohol found as a secondary product of alcoholic fermentation that induces sleep in humans. Tryptophol can inhibit the infection/replication of GVE2 by interacting with the host's Clp protease. Tryptophol can inhibit the proliferation of U937 cells by inducing apoptosis via a pathway involving caspase-8 followed by caspase-3. Tryptophol induces apoptosis through Death Receptor (DR) 5 and that the resistance of peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL) to tryptophol-induced apoptosis might be due to competition from decoy receptor (DcR).
BCN5726 Erythrodiol
Erythrodiol is the precursor of pentacyclic triterpenic acids, it exerts antiproliferative and proapoptotic activity in colon adenocarcinoma cells. Erythrodiol may have interesting therapeutic potential as new vasodilator drugs, thus protecting the cardiovascular system.
BCN5764 Tanshinone I
Tanshinone I is an inhibitor of type IIA human recombinant sPLA2 (IC50=11 μM) and rabbit recombinant cPLA2 (IC50=82 μM). Tanshinone I possesses hepatocyte protective, anticancer, neuroprotection, and nephroprotective properties. Tanshinone I pretreatment causes significant suppression of skin cell death induces by solar simulated UV and riboflavin-sensitized UVA.
BCN5810 Caudatin
1. Caudatin exerts antiproliferative effects on human hepatocellular carcinoma SMMC7721 cells. 2. Caudatin has anticancer activity, due partly to its inhibition of cell proliferation and induction of apoptosis in cancer cells through caspase activation. 3. Caudatin exhibits significantly inhibitory activity against HBV DNA replication with IC50 values in the range of 2.82-7.48 μM. 4. Caudatin inhibits carcinomic human alveolar basal epithelial cell growth and angiogenesis by targeting GSK3β/β-catenin pathway and suppressing VEGF production.
BCN5861 Ganoderic acid S
A novel combination of triterpenoids includes at least ganoderic acid S (GAS), ganoderic acid T (GAT), ganoderic acid Me (GAMe), ganoderic acid R (GAR), and ganodermic acid S (GMAS), the composition is suitable for the treatment or prophylaxis of colon cancer, hepatic cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer or leukemia. Ganoderic acid S and Mf induce mitochondria mediated apoptosis in human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells.
