Hypertension Research
Hypertension is defined as a chronic elevation in blood pressure with a systolic pressure over 140 mmHg and a diastolic pressure over 90 mmHg.The majority of hypertension is primary - that is, an increase in blood pressure with no underlying cause - yet pathologies that affect the kidney or endocrine system may also trigger hypertension. This is known as secondary hypertension. The exact mechanism of primary hypertension is yet to be elucidated, though dysfunctions in mechanisms that regulate vascular tone, both directly and indirectly, have been identified as having a major influence on hypertension.

BCC6770
3-Bromo-7-nitroindazole
3-Bromo-7-nitroindazole is a more potent and selective inhibitor of neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) than eNOS or inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS). 3-Bromo-7-nitroindazole affects the intercellular messenger nitric oxide (NO) synthesis throughout the body and brain.
-
BCC5644
Pentamidine isethionate
Pentamidine isethionate (MP-601205 isethionate) is an antimicrobial agent and interferes with DNA biosynthetics. Pentamidine isethionate inhibits parasite Leishmania infantum with an IC50 of 2.5 μM. Pentamidine isethionate is a potent and selective protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPases) and phosphatase of regenerating liver (PRL) inhibitor. Pentamidine isethionate has the potential for Gambian trypanosomiasis, antimony-resistant leishmaniasis, and Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia treatment. Antitumor and antibacterial activities.
