Cancer Research

Cancer is a term used to define a group of diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control, are able to invade neighboring tissues/organs and metastasize. Cancer has been characterized by six hallmarks; self sufficiency in proliferative growth signals, insensitivity to growth inhibitors, evasion of apoptosis, limitless replicative potential, ability to develop blood vessels (angiogenesis), and tissue invasion and metastasis.

  1. Cat.No. Product Name Information/Activity
  2. BCC2301 Methotrexate Methotrexate (Amethopterin) is an antimetabolite and antifolate agent that inhibits the enzyme dihydrofolate reductase, thereby preventing the conversion of folic acid into tetrahydrofolate, and inhibiting DNA synthesis. Methotrexate (Amethopterin) is the disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) of first choice for the treatment of RA in most countries worldwide. Methotrexate is an antineoplastic agent used to fight a number of different cancers, such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia and solid cancers. Methotrexate chemical structure
  3. BCC8053 GSK2194069 GSK2194069 is a potent and specific inhibitor of the β-ketoacyl reductase (KR) activity of hFAS with an IC50 of 7.7 ± 4.1 nM in an assay detecting released CoA. GSK2194069 chemical structure
  4. BCC3830 Orlistat Orlistat is a lipase inhibitor for obesity management that acts by inhibiting the absorption of dietary fats. Orlistat chemical structure
  5. BCC7938 STF 31 STF-31 is an inhibitor of glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1, IC50 = 1 μM). STF 31 chemical structure
  6. BCN1259 D-(+)-Glucose Dextrose, a simple sugar (monosaccharide), is an important carbohydrate in biology. D-(+)-Glucose chemical structure
  7. BCC6506 BPTES BPTES is an allosteric and selective glutaminase inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.16 μM. BPTES chemical structure
  8. BCC4048 2-Deoxy-D-glucose 2-Deoxy-D-glucose is a glucose analog that acts as a competitive inhibitor of glucose metabolism, inhibiting glycolysis via its actions on hexokinase. 2-Deoxy-D-glucose chemical structure
  9. BCC2319 Atorvastatin Calcium Atorvastatin hemicalcium salt (CI-981) is an orally active 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase inhibitor, has the ability to effectively decrease blood lipids. Atorvastatin hemicalcium salt inhibits human SV-SMC proliferation and invasion with IC50s of 0.39 μM and 2.39 μM, respectively. Atorvastatin Calcium chemical structure
  10. BCC2317 Fluvastatin Sodium Fluvastatin sodium (XU 62320) is a first fully synthetic, competitive HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor with an IC50 of 8 nM. Fluvastatin sodium protects vascular smooth muscle cells against oxidative stress through the Nrf2-dependent antioxidant pathway. Fluvastatin Sodium chemical structure
  11. BCN1060 Lovastatin Lovastatin is a cell-permeable HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor used to lower cholesterol. Lovastatin chemical structure
