Addiction Research

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), addiction is 'a chronic disease of the central nervous system that is characterized by a loss of control over impulsive behavior that leads to compulsive drug seeking and taking, and to relapses even after months of abstinence'. Addiction is a complex neuroadaptive process, where drugs of abuse alter cellular and molecular aspects of neural function. The brain circuits mediating the various behavioral effects of these drugs are rendered more, or less, responsive to those effects.

  1. Cat.No. Product Name Information/Activity
  2. BCC6591 Ibotenic acid Ibotenic acid has agonist activity at both the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) and trans-ACPD or metabolotropic quisqualate (Qm) receptor sites. Ibotenic acid chemical structure
  3. BCC4590 NMDA (N-Methyl-D-aspartic acid) NMDA is a specific agonist for NMDA receptor mimicking the action of glutamate, the neurotransmitter which normally acts at that receptor. NMDA (N-Methyl-D-aspartic acid) chemical structure
  4. BCC6573 Quinolinic acid Quinolinic acid is an endogenous N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor agonist synthesized from L-tryptophan via the kynurenine pathway and thereby has the potential of mediating N-methyl-D-aspartate neuronal damage and dysfunction. Quinolinic acid chemical structure
  5. BCC6865 Spermidine trihydrochloride Spermidine trihydrochloride maintains cell membrane stability, increases antioxidant enzymes activities, improving photosystem II (PSII), and relevant gene expression. Spermidine trihydrochloride significantly decreases the H2O2 and O2.- contents. Spermidine trihydrochloride chemical structure
  6. BCC6599 (RS)-(Tetrazol-5-yl)glycine (RS)-(Tetrazol-5-yl)glycine (D,L-(tetrazol-5-yl)glycine) is a highly potent and selective N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor agonist. (RS)-(Tetrazol-5-yl)glycine has EC50s of 99 nM, 1.7 μM for GluN1/GluN2D and GluN1/GluN2A, respectively. (RS)-(Tetrazol-5-yl)glycine induces seizure responses and Fos in mice. (RS)-(Tetrazol-5-yl)glycine chemical structure
  7. BCC6584 ACBC 22264-50-2 ACBC chemical structure
  8. BCC7753 DL-AP5 Sodium salt 1303993-72-7 DL-AP5 Sodium salt chemical structure
  9. BCC6553 D-AP5 D-AP5 is a NMDA receptor antagonist. D-AP5 chemical structure
  10. BCC6552 DL-AP5 76326-31-3 DL-AP5 chemical structure
  11. BCC6554 L-AP5 79055-67-7 L-AP5 chemical structure
