Cardiovascular Research

The cardiovascular, or circulatory, system is a closed elastic circuit consisting of the heart, blood vessels (arteries, capillaries and veins) and the blood. The primary function is to pump oxygenated blood to the tissues throughout the body and reabsorb waste carbon dioxide for its removal. This function is performed by the use of pulmonary and systemic circulation.

  3. BCC2368 Sivelestat sodium salt Sivelestat sodium(ONO5046; LY544349; EI546) is a competitive inhibitor of human neutrophil elastase(IC50 = 44 nM; Ki=200 nM); also inhibited leukocyte elastase obtained from rabbit, rat, hamster and mouse. Sivelestat sodium salt chemical structure
  4. BCN5524 Betulinic acid Betulinic acid is a natural pentacyclic triterpenoid, acts as a eukaryotic topoisomerase I inhibitor, with an IC50 of 5 μM, and possesses anti-HIV, anti-malarial, anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor properties. Betulinic acid acts as a new activator of NF-kB. Betulinic acid chemical structure
  5. BCC6201 GPBAR-A GPBA receptor (TGR5) agonist GPBAR-A chemical structure
  6. BCN5616 Oleanolic acid Oleanolic acid (Caryophyllin) is a natural compound from plants with anti-tumor activities. Oleanolic acid chemical structure
  7. BCC1659 IRAK-1-4 Inhibitor I IRAK-1-4 Inhibitor I is an inhibitor of interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 1/4 (IRAK 1/4) with IC50s of 0.2 μM and 0.3 μM, respectively. IRAK-1-4 Inhibitor I chemical structure
  8. BCC2319 Atorvastatin Calcium Atorvastatin hemicalcium salt (CI-981) is an orally active 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase inhibitor, has the ability to effectively decrease blood lipids. Atorvastatin hemicalcium salt inhibits human SV-SMC proliferation and invasion with IC50s of 0.39 μM and 2.39 μM, respectively. Atorvastatin Calcium chemical structure
  9. BCC2317 Fluvastatin Sodium Fluvastatin sodium (XU 62320) is a first fully synthetic, competitive HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor with an IC50 of 8 nM. Fluvastatin sodium protects vascular smooth muscle cells against oxidative stress through the Nrf2-dependent antioxidant pathway. Fluvastatin Sodium chemical structure
  10. BCN1060 Lovastatin Lovastatin is a cell-permeable HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor used to lower cholesterol. Lovastatin chemical structure
  11. BCN2568 Mevastatin Mevastatin (Compactin) is a first HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor that belongs to the statins class. Mevastatin is a lipid-lowering agent, and induces apoptosis, arrests cancer cells in G0/G1 phase. Mevastatin also increases endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) mRNA and protein levels. Mevastatin has antitumor activity and has the potential for cardiovascular diseases treatment. Mevastatin chemical structure
