Chemical constituents of Securinega suffruticosa.[Reference: WebLink]

To investigate the chemical constituents of the leaves and twigs of Securinega suffruticosa (Pall.) Rehd.
METHODS AND RESULTS:
Column chromatographic methods were used to separate the chemical constituents whose structures were elucidated by means of physicochemical properties and spectral analysis. Eleven compounds were isolated and identified as (-)-15β-ethoxy-14,15-dihydroviroallosecurinine (1), securinine (2), 14,15-dihydrosecurinine (3), 4-epiphyllanthine (4), Securitinine (5), viroallosecurinine (6), Securinol A (7), secu' amamine A (8), ent-phyllanthidine (9), ( )-aquilegiolide (10) and ( )-menisdaurilide (11), respectively.
CONCLUSIONS:
Compound 1 is a novel compound. Compounds 4, 8, 10 and 11 were isolated from Securinega suffruticosa for the first time.
