Lamiophlomis rotata (Benth.) Kudo.

Lamiophlomis rotate is widely spread over the highlands of Tibet and sparsely distributed in certain areas of Gansu, Qinghai, Sichuan and Yunnan in China and its typical habitats are alpine meadow, rocky crevices, and alpine screes at an altitude of 3 900-5 050 meters. Lamiophlomis rotata is a folk medicine used by the Tibetans, Mongolians and Naxi people in China, which is also called “Daba” or “Dababu” in Tibetan. Lamiophlomis rotata has been studied and developed extensively in recent years, and has been developed into proprietary Chinese medicine products in the form of capsules, tablets and granules, etc., which are widely used clinically. Among them, Duyiwei capsule has been recorded in Chinese Pharmacopoeia. With abundant resources, Lamiophlomis rotata has a wide range of bioactivities. Its effects of acting against tumours and improving immunity still require further researches.
